Routes and PricingWe can drive you anywhere throughout the top of the South Island. Keep in mind that we are based in Murchison, and fare pricing is based on the round trip from there.
Pricing will be quoted based upon your needs. Stopovers up to 90 minutes are free, and a fee is charged per hour after that.
Some Sample fares of possible routes are below to give an idea of what pricing looks like. Usually the price is the same whether I take 1 or 2 people with a small addition added for 3 or 4 people in the ride. We are licensed to carry up to 4 passengers, and can take 4 bikes as well. The bike-rack is a ROCKRACK made in NZ and it carries most styles of bike.
Murchison to Nelson- $250 for 1-2 or $300 for 3-4 passengers.
Nelson Airport to Old Ghost Road- $300 for 1-2 or $350 for 3-4 passengers.
Murchison to Lake Rotoroa- $80 for 1-2 or $100 for 3-4 passengers.
Murchison to St Arnaud/Lake Rotoiti- $150 for 1-2 or $175 for 3-4 passengers.
Murchison to Lake Matiri track- $60 for 1-2 or $80 for 3-4 passengers.
Murchison to Upper Matakitaki - $120 for 1-2 or $160 for 3-4 passengers.
Christchurch to Murchison- $800 1-4 passengers.
Murchison to Old Ghost Road/Lyell- $80 1-4 passengers.
Old Ghost Road/Seddonville to Nelson Airport- $800 1-4 Passengers.
Multiday trips possible.
Terms and Conditions.
If there’s a problem, let us know, and we will endeavour to fix it. Currently we have no cancellation fee, but please don’t have us driving if you are not going to be at the agreed pickup. All longer drives must be paid in advance, and if we drive a significant distance before being notified of a cancellation , running costs will be deducted before a refund is issued. A discussion prebooking will take place planning for what to do if you do not appear at an agreed time and place.
We have a comprehensive Commercial vehicle breakdown service plan for any unforeseen events on your ride.
Insurance is through State Commercial vehicle insurance, and all claims will be handled through them.
Serious complaints should be made directly to the NZTA as well as to our email.
